Van Tri Golf Club is a stunning 18-hole golf course located just half an hour from Hanoi City Centre, one of the closest to Vietnam's capital.
The course was designed by golf architect Peter Rousseau and was the first private golf estate to grace North Vietnam and despite being a relatively youthful course, it boasts an authentic layout sure to challenge even the low handicappers.

The course itself plays at just over 7000 yards from the back tees and with the plethora of unique obstacles on show throughout the course, can be daunting for golfers. Running parallel to the Van Tri Dam, it comes as no surprise that there are some rather large water hazards to deal with as you meander through the pine tree-lined fairways and while these can make the course tricky to play, it really brings it to life with vibrant colours. With Paspalum grass used from tees to greens, this course is extremely playable all year round, boasting super fast putting conditions, so be sure to try and get the hang of the greens early on in the round. All in all, the 18 holes are extremely varied, although the more open, generous fairways often lead you into a false sense of security, with a test just around the corner. The signature hole is the monster 603-yard 17th which features two doglegs, a carry over water, bunkers either side of the fairway and a creek running in front of the green - good luck!

The contemporary clubhouse features many great services, sure to make any golfer's visit one to remember. The lang restaurant, is the clubs main dining option and serves up homemade, local Vietnamese food allowing guests to try signature dishes from the Northern, Central and Southern regions. There is also a new spa which was recently refurbished in June 2017 where golfers can relax and relieve any aches and pains with a local treatment of massage. Alternatively, if you wish to continue some physical activity, the state-of-the-art fitness centre is fully-equipped with modern equipment.
